Session Chair: Daniel Rosenzweig Sada, T'13How did you get interested in low environmental impact materials and what is your involvement in the industry?
I’m an engineer and started getting interested in materials after I spent a year in the University of Illinois in an exchange program, focusing my courses on materials engineering. After graduation I did an internship in an aerospace company and worked full time in an aluminum foundry producing engine parts. Then my family genes kicked in (my father started and still leads a non-profit Nature Conservation Fund, to fund conservation efforts in Mexico). That’s when I entered an organization that provides growth strategy consulting to environmental and social businesses. The first book I read on the topic was Cradle to Cradle. What motivated you to organize your specific session for the Business and Society Conference? Learning. It’s a topic I’m still learning, but I had the opportunity to work with a couple of companies involved in this industry in Mexico. |
